The Impact Taekwon-Do club is affiliated with ITFNZ (www.itfnz.org.nz) and operates out of the fulltime AMAA (Auckland Martial Arts Academy) which is located just 5 minutes from the Auckland CBD. Our venue is fully furnished, with a 13m by 14m matted training surface, a wall of mirrors, changing rooms, kick bags and other martial arts equipment.

Impact Taekwon-Do was established in July 2006 under Mr Mark Trotter and Mr Carl van Roon at a Kingsland gym in Auckland, New Zealand.
With 11 senior members, 9 of which have competed at the World Championships in several different martial arts styles including ITF Taekwon-Do, WTF Taekwon-Do and WAKO Kickboxing.
Co-Instructors Mark Trotter, IV dan, and Carl van Roon, I dan, are no strangers to international competition.
Past 3rd Dan Pattern World Champion Mark Trotter has competed at 6 World Championships and has won 7 medals on the world stage (3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze). He was the Assistant Coach for the New Zealand Junior Taekwon-Do Team who competed in Honduras in 2006. He captained the New Zealand male team at the World Championships in Canada and is also world champion in prearranged sparring.
Current, and three times special technique World Champion Carl van Roon has represented New Zealand at 4 world championships in 2 different styles of Martial arts (ITF Taekwon-Do in 2003, 2005 and 2007, and WAKO Kickboxing in 2005).
He also won the bronze medal in heavyweight sparring at the ITF World Championships in Canada 2007.
